Privacy Policy
Effective 9 October 2026
Wi-Fi 3D helps you compare the quality of your current Wi-Fi connection at different places in a room. This policy explains what the app processes on your iPhone and what happens if you contact us.
Wi-Fi 3D is provided by VIBE AI, MCHJ (VIBE AI LLC) ("we", "us"). Contact: bogdan@vibe.meme.
The app does not send your camera feed, room map, Wi-Fi name or measurements to us. The current version has no account, advertising, analytics SDK or developer-operated server connection. Measurement requests go to your local Wi-Fi router.
1. Information processed on your device
| Information | Purpose | Handling |
|---|---|---|
| Live camera images and AR motion information | To estimate the iPhone's position in the current space and display measurement markers. | Processed locally through Apple's camera and ARKit frameworks. The app does not record, save or upload photos or video. |
| Relative positions and measurements | To place markers and compare router response time, unanswered requests and available connection-quality estimates. | Held in app memory for the current survey. These are relative session coordinates, not a GPS route or a saved floor plan. |
| Current Wi-Fi and local network details | To identify the active Wi-Fi connection and its gateway, direct measurement requests to that router and clear the survey if the connection changes. | The app reads the network interface, local addresses and gateway. If permitted by iOS, it also reads the Wi-Fi name (SSID). These details are not sent to us. |
The app sends short ICMP echo requests to the local gateway of the current Wi-Fi connection and processes the responses. It does not probe external internet test servers, scan nearby networks or fall back to cellular data for measurements. The router or network operator may keep its own network logs; that logging is outside our control.
On iOS 26 or later, the app also reads the system's connection-quality estimate when available. It does not measure radio signal strength or internet download speed.
2. Permissions and your choices
- Camera: needed for the live AR view and relative position tracking.
- Local network: needed to send measurement requests to the Wi-Fi router.
- Location while using the app: optional. iOS may require precise-location permission to let the app read the current Wi-Fi name. The app does not request GPS coordinates, track your geographic location or build a location history. Declining this permission does not prevent measurements; the Wi-Fi name may be unavailable.
You can review or revoke permissions in iPhone Settings. Without camera access, the AR view cannot operate. Without local-network access, router measurements may be unavailable. You can pause measurement or clear the survey in the app.
3. Retention and deletion
Survey markers and readings are stored only in the app's working memory. They are removed when you clear the survey, when the app detects a network change or when the app process ends. A tracking failure may also reset the survey. Simply putting the app in the background does not necessarily end its process.
The app does not create a survey database, export, cloud account or cloud backup. There is no developer-held copy of your camera feed or survey for us to retrieve or delete.
4. If you contact support
If you choose to email us, we receive your email address, message and any attachments you decide to send. We use that information to respond, investigate your request and meet applicable legal obligations. Please send only the information needed for your request and avoid sensitive details or images of other people.
Support correspondence is separate from the app's automatic operation and is not collected by an in-app telemetry system. Email delivery involves email service providers. We keep correspondence only as reasonably needed to handle the request and meet applicable obligations. You can ask about access, correction or deletion at bogdan@vibe.meme; legal retention requirements may limit deletion.
Where applicable law requires a legal basis, support handling is based on responding to your request, our legitimate interest in providing support and any relevant legal obligation. We do not use app measurements or support correspondence for targeted advertising or sell that information.
5. Apple services and diagnostics
Apple operates the App Store and iOS. Apple may process store information and device diagnostics under its own settings and policies, independently of the app's local measurement functions. Apple may make aggregate app information or reports available to developers under those arrangements. The app itself contains no analytics or crash-reporting SDK and sends no diagnostics to a developer-operated server.
See Apple's Device Analytics & Privacy, App Analytics & Privacy and App Store & Privacy. You can manage relevant sharing choices in iPhone Settings.
6. The wifiping.online website
This website is hosted on Vercel. Opening a page sends request information to the hosting provider, such as your IP address, requested URL, time and browser headers. Vercel may process and retain technical logs to deliver pages, secure the service and operate the hosting platform. This is separate from the iPhone app's local measurements.
We do not add visitor analytics, advertising cookies or cross-site tracking to this website. Technical-log retention depends on hosting settings, provider policies and applicable requirements. See Vercel's Privacy Notice. For questions about this website's data, contact bogdan@vibe.meme.
7. Your rights and questions
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict personal information, object to certain processing, withdraw consent where processing relies on it, or complain to the relevant data protection authority. Contact us using the address below. Withdrawing an iOS permission stops the associated app access; it does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal.
Because we do not receive your local survey, these requests primarily concern information you voluntarily send us, such as support correspondence.
8. Changes and contact
We may update this policy to reflect changes to the app or applicable requirements. The effective date will identify the current version. Changes apply prospectively; they do not authorize a new use of information already received where additional notice or consent is required.
